Quote(s) of the Day
"I hope this serves as a wake up call to this team.  Tom has always been a nice guy to everyone - his teammates, his coaches, hell even the janitors.  But after his last game something changed, I think he was fed up and pissed off at how we are playing.  I think he still is.  We need somebody to wear the black hat in the clubhouse and call people out.  Tom can do that for us." - New York Mets right fielder Ed Kranepool.

"What the hell is he doing talking about me?  What has he done for this team this season?  We have played 11 damn games and how many hits does he have?  Three?  Four?  I've only pitched four times and have almost as many hits as he does.  Tell him to start producing and then I'll listen to his damn quotes.  How's that for a black hat Ed?" - New York Mets starting pitcher Tom Seaver.
