Quote(s) of the Day
"Ever since I lost my last start, Seaver has been sending slump busters up to my room every single night.  It was fun at first, but apparently it's hard to find decent looking females here in San Diego because I think the one last night had a moustache.  Now maybe I can get some rest." - San Francisco Giants pitcher John Montefusco.

"We know here in New York that Jerry is a hell of a pitcher - you guys seem to forget that.  I'm just glad he got his @$%!& act together and started pitching like we know he can.  Maybe the rest of these so-called professionals will follow suit.  Oh and Jerry?  You don't @$%& with a winning streak." - New York Mets pitcher Tom Seaver.

"Crap." - fatigued New York pitcher Jerry Koosman.
