Quote of the Day
"Today is a perfect example oh why we are in last place.  We can't hit.  We can't pitch.  Hell, we can't even take a leak without making three errors.  People think I am pretty even keeled, easy going guy, but I will tell you here and now - if these men don't change their attitudes, I'll fire the entire bunch of them." - Houston manager Bill Virdon.

He is expected to miss about 4 weeks and is placed on the 15-day disabled list.
2B Jim Cox (.000, 1 AB - AA) has been recalled from Double A Quebec.
In 10 games with Quebec, Cox has gotten 1 at-bat.  Just one.  Good grief.  If he plays, I quit.
3B Larry Parrish (.130, 3 RBI) suffered a sprained ankle while throwing.
He is expected to miss about 2 weeks and is placed on the 15-day disabled list.
2B Pat Scanlon (.297, 2 HR, 6 RBI) has been recalled from Double A Quebec.
Scanlon on the other hand, will start at 3B for the Expos, with Mr. Cox as his backup.  Lord help Montreal.

He is expected to miss about 3 weeks and is placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Jim Gantner will assume the majority of the starting time at 3B.  Bevacqua will back him up.

He is day-to-day, expecting to last 2 days.
