Injuries:
2B Steve Dillard (.200, 1 RBI, 35 AB) suffered a broken bone in his elbow after being hit with a throw.
He will miss at least 8 months and is placed on the 60-day disabled list.
Purchased the contract of 1B Deron Johnson (.000, 4 AB) from Triple A Rhode Island.
Denny Doyle will take over at 2B with Doug Griffin as backup.  Johnson may get to to start in every 33rd game.
